I expected the content of this blog to be more...political. ;-)
Well, so did I. I used to communicate with the most powerful 'deity' of the Blogosphere on a regular basis, and he was often generous in responding back. I don't know if you have ever read his original blog, but it was absolutely the most incisive, screamingly funny blog around. Meteoric is how it can best be described. The satire alone was better than any writing anywhere at any time. His photoshops were extraordinary and had an impact like a missile. Allah saw Howard Dean as the out of control lunatic he turned out to be much earlier than anyone in the press or talk radio. Same for Kerry. After a time, however, the instant fame... and many believe he might have received death threats, and beset by legal woes due to his prolific blogging, he stopped altogether, took down his site, including the archives, and simply disappeared. The loss of his wit and candor hit me personally. I don't know why, but it was because of the freedom he embodied I envied...as well as his talents. Any forum for him to come back in is a o k with me, even when it is covering the non controversial topics he is now covering.
I don't know if you have ever read his original blog,No, I Haven't. The loss of his wit and candor hit me personally. I know what you mean. Any forum for him to come back in is a o k with me,..I am sure he'll be back with all his might.
I don't know, Felis. I think that whatever happened to him before hit him harder than anything. Toward the end, I noticed he was profoundly depressed, and his posts became eloquent and serious. His insights by this time were thoughtful and despairing. Sad to see what ailed him also got the better of him. His blog was a source of much-needed mirth. I only pray he gets his blogging mojo back and soon. You can only post so much about celebrities and their newly discovered irrelevance before you go completely mad.
"You can only post so much about celebrities and their newly discovered irrelevance before you go completely mad."I only have contacts with so called celebrities in my GP's waiting room.Good Lord I hate New Idea - especially when the latest issue is 2 years old.Pitty about Allah.Well, we'll be there to help him find his broken mojo.
Don't just sit there, say something!
