It's so bad...yet I can't look away.
And it replays inside your head over and over again. Have some good music on hand to wash away the bad.
Yes indeed, like Murray Perahia playing Bach.
My oh my, but I love the English suites, especially Number 2. I think I must have listened to it a million times. Perahia is the best performer of Bach. I never understood Gould, with his lousy piano and grunting. Give me the more nuanced Perahia any day of the week.
Perahia's playing of Bach is so sublime one can never get tired of lisening to it. I could never stomach the noises of Gould either. Just shut up and play!
If I hadn't already turned in my card I would after watching that piece of suck ass. That was indescribably awful
Why is it that Republicans have not grasped the concept of cultural renewal? Is it too much to ask to appeal to something higher than the basest of the base? Is it too much to ask the voters to start shucking the schlock?
I'd vote against this asshat just on principle... that principle being if you have abominable taste in music you've prolly got serious deficiencies in more important areas.Apropos of the comments above: I never liked Gould either. I have a recording of "The Goldberg Variations" where he actually hums along in parts.
Go and download Perahia's version of the Goldberg variations, if you can. It is beyond sublime. I weep when I listen to it. I don't listen to them very often for that reason. But it is soul-stirring music. Perahia has the ear of God when he plays.
Don't just sit there, say something!
